I started out building the jig first from a combination of old timber and some new stuff. Although the photo doesn't show it the floor runs at an angle down towards the camera. This made for a slight additional complexity in constructing it.
1. I added the risers after I had used the 'flat' jig to scarf the two panels and cut out the bottom panel - which can be seen leaning against the post.
